Speaking at the launch of their Autumn / Winter collection this morning, Magee 1866 designer Patricia explained the theme of this seasons edit,

'It's more relaxed silhouettes, everything is more structured"

Paired with Liberty of London shirts, this seasons tweeds are all about comfort and style. Patricia went on to reveal a piece that was "Designed woven and made in Donegal town"

It's definitely all bout the detail of the quality that makes this Irish brand stand the test of time celebrating 150 years, one example is their little stag head button which they use throughout their collection in winter.

The collection showcase Magee 1866's expertise in fabric, designed and woven in Donegal, and garment creation, that has been amassed over the last 150 years. Inspiration has been drawn from the brand's rich fabric archives, featuring luxurious cashmere and lambswool blends and handwoven Donegal tweeds peppered with colourful neps.

Highlights from the core collection include v-neck and zipped sweaters in cotton from a fair (€79) and lambswool from €99 and Magee are particularly proud to launch their womenswear collection with their textured boucle wool blends, sumptuously soft indigo lambswool and cashmere herringbone.

The womenswear collection is completed by classic pencil skirts in pure wool; quirky contrast waistcoats, fringed capes ; Liberty print shirts , heritage, style and elegance.
